In this crazy mixed up world?

To remember your right to just be heard?

When was it that the scars you thought had faded in the past
Came back anew to haunt you
Like they never were the past

Just take a moment, take a breath
Remember where you’ve been
And remember just how far you’ve come
Since all those years back than

And hold your head up high and stiffen up your spine once more
You know that you can count on you
No matter what the score

Cause life is so damn funny if you take the time to see
The irony of where you are, where you were and want to be

Just don’t forget that age old tale
‘To thine own self be true’
And never forget for one damn second
you have a right to just be you

No apologies and no regrets ,
No ‘I didn’t mean to cry’
No time to feel that ice cold chill
That comes from deep inside

You have a life that’s meant to shine
No matter where you go
You have a story to be said
That’s longing to be told

So dig down deep and close your eyes
And say a little prayer
Life is what you make it
And you have so much to share

Take the nasty punches,
